work hard, play hard

For me, the greatest thing about living in NYC are all the amazing opportunities available and all the cool things to do.

Inside the Actors Studio is filmed at Pace University, something I was totally unaware of until early last week when I checked my email, only to find one detailing how Kristen Wiig was going to be there and how all Pace students could gain free entry by waiting on the standby line.

Which I totally did.

For 3 hours.

Regardless of my growling stomach due to lack of dinner and sore butt from sitting on the tiled floor, I was so happy to be ushered through the auditorium doors and seated in a cushioned seat (thank goodness).

Because the second Kristen was ushered through the side door and onto the stage, my patience was well worth it.

The rest of my time this week consisted of working hard and biding my time until the weekend finally rolled around since it meant that I could celebrate my 23rd birthday with some of my best friends, my boyfriend, and my family, and also avoid doing any homework for 3 whole days.

My favorite study spot in all the land. 

The theme of my week was homework and coffee, all in the name of homework free days to come.

Which was totally worth it.

Granted, probably not the best idea given that the work is beginning to pile up with midterms just on the horizon, but the promise of a work free weekend was great motivation to get (almost) all my crap taken care of so that I could enjoy spending time with my loved ones.
